Cancellations and refunds for Hotel/Resort bookings

SIMPLY SELECT reserves the right to charge processing fees in the event of refunds, cancellations and other services. Any cancellation or change must be done prior to the originally scheduled check-in date. No value remains after the check-in date. If you wish to cancel contact your personal Simply Select travel adviser and we will work with the vendor to negotiate on your behalf. Please note that we will endeavor to provide you a refund, each reservation will be held to the original terms agreed upon in writing for each contract. Hotels/Resorts are usually confirmed on a guaranteed payment basis, which necessitates the nature of our terms and conditions. We are not responsible for any loss you incur due to late notification of changing plans.

Covid19 related cancellations: If you are unable to travel due to a covid 19 travel restriction, notify our staff as quickly as possible. Some Hotels / Resorts amended their cancellation policy giving guests longer cancellation periods. Rules vary by property. We are not responsible to pay for any loss you incur due to your failure to travel due to Covid 19.

 

Cancellations and refunds for Lifestyle Purchases

The terms in this section apply when, on your instruction, we:

a) purchase goods and/or services or make bookings or reservations on your behalf from one or more supplier(s) that we have identified, recommended, sourced or otherwise selected for you, or that you have requested (a “Supplier”);

b) facilitate your purchase of goods and/or services, or your making of any booking or reservation, from any Supplier by acting as an intermediary, conduit or booking platform, or by taking the relevant payment(s);

c) act as the agent of any Supplier to contract with you for the provision of goods or services, or to make any booking or reservation; or

d) undertake any other services that we have agreed from time to time.

The purchases set out at a) to d) above shall be referred to in these Terms as “Lifestyle Purchases”

You are responsible for paying for all Lifestyle Purchases ordered, regardless of the beneficiary or beneficiaries of such Lifestyle Purchases.

Some Lifestyle Purchases may be subject to acceptance or confirmation from the applicable Supplier. Some Lifestyle Purchases may be subject to acceptance or confirmation from the applicable Supplier. Although we try to show the accurate availability of the Service, we are not responsible for any cancelled or amended bookings.

If you wish to amend any Lifestyle Purchase after your order has been confirmed, you may need to discuss this with the Supplier directly. We cannot guarantee that the Supplier will be able to accommodate any changes. If you cancel or change plans, please notify the Supplier within the time period specified by the Supplier. Rules may vary by Supplier.

Covid19 related cancellations: If you wish to cancel your Lifestyle Purchases due to Covid 19, you may need to discuss this with the Supplier direct. We cannot guarantee that the Supplier will be able to accommodate any changes. We are not responsible to pay you for any loss you incur due to your cancellation of your Lifestyle Purchases due to Covid19 or your failure to follow the change or cancel policies of any travel vendor.

 

Cancellations and refunds for Staffing Services

You (Employer) are responsible for paying for all remuneration for Candidates and for SIMPLY SELECT for it’s role as an intermediary. SIMPLY SELECT will charge processing fees in the event of the Employer hiring a Candidate proposed by SIMPLY SELECT. SIMPLY SELECT reserves the right to charge processing fees in the event of the Employer cancelling the contract after hiring a Candidate.

Covid19 related cancellations: If you wish to cancel your contract with the Candidate due to Covid 19, SIMPLY SELECT reserves the right to charge or retain any processing fees owed by the Employer on the date the contract was signed with the Candidate.

 

Disclaimer of liability

SIMPLY SELECT is acting as a mere agent for suppliers in selling travel-related services, or in accepting reservations or bookings for services that are not directly supplied by this travel agency (such as hotel/resort accommodations, etc.). This agency, therefore, shall not be responsible for breach of contract or any intentional or careless actions or omissions on part of such suppliers, which result in any loss, damage, delay, or injury to you or your travel companions or group members. Unless the term “guaranteed” is specifically stated in writing on your tickets, invoice, or reservation itinerary, we do not guarantee any of such suppliers’ rates, bookings, reservations, connections, scheduling, or handling of personal effects. Travel agent shall not be responsible for any injuries, damages, or losses caused to any traveler in connection with any terrorist activities, social or labor unrest, mechanical or construction failures or difficulties, diseases, local laws, climatic conditions, criminal acts or abnormal conditions or developments, or any other actions, omissions, or conditions outside the travel agent’s control. Traveler assumes complete and full responsibility for, and hereby releases the agent from any duty of, checking and verifying any and all passport, visa, vaccination, or other entry requirements of each destination, and all safety or security conditions at such destinations, during the length of the proposed travel. By embarking upon his/her travel, the traveler voluntarily assumes all risks involved in such travel, whether expected or unexpected.  Traveler is hereby warned of such risks, and are advised to obtain appropriate insurance coverage against them. Traveler’s retention of tickets, reservations, or bookings after issuance shall constitute a consent to the above, and an agreement on his/her part to convey the contents hereto to his/her travel companions or group members.
